Toreros Get Extra-Inning, 4-3 Win
|
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros did just enough to secure a victory over the Chicago Eclipse, 4-3, in 11 innings at Millennium Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Kirk Hojnacki. Victor Gonzalez, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-2. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1 innings. Cabo San Lucas now owns a record of 29-48.
Jonah Britton came through with a big-time hit for Cabo San Lucas. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
In postgame comments, Britton said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
