The Key West Thunder dealt the Scottsdale Scorpions a 6-4 loss at Scottsdale Stadium. Matt Moritz was the star on offense. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The loss has the Scorpions at 6-2.

Moritz had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 curveball from Ricky Lopez, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Thunder a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Moritz.
