Moncks Corner beat Boca Raton in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Moncks Corner Homewreckers picked up a win at Kitfield Castle, knocking off the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 8-3. Starting pitcher Eric Nodine played a key role in the triumph. Losses have been few and far between for the Fighting Iguanas so far this season. Their record drops to 4-2.

Roberto Trejo aided the Moncks Corner cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 2-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Nodine said. "We did a good job of that today."
