Caribou Make Rangers 6-2 Losers
|
The Frobisher Bay Caribou picked up a win at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Rockville Rangers, 6-2. Starting pitcher Carl Long played a key role in the triumph. The win gives Frobisher Bay a record of 6-2.
Frobisher Bay used a clutch at-bat from Jeremy Cartwright to capture the win. The catcher hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Caribou ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"If you beat me, you beat me, if not, good things will happen," said Long.
