Late Rally by Seawolves Secures Win
The Erie Seawolves got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Alberto Aguirre, but it was good enough for the club to take a 3-2 decision over the Yuma Varmits. Erie reliever Kyuuya Nakagawa was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Rodrigo Portillo. Losses have been rare for the Varmits, who are now 4-1.

Oscar Romero was the walk-off hero for Erie. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Seawolves pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Aguirre told a Erie Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
