Eclipse Earn 5-3 Win Against Mounties
The Chicago Eclipse picked up a win at Millennium Field, knocking off the Montreal Mounties, 5-3, in 15 innings. Starting pitcher Alberto Calderon played a key role in the triumph. Kirk Davis, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The Eclipse raised their record to 40-36.

The decisive blow was delivered by Larry Gilliland in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a 2-run home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Danny Coyle to win the game for Chicago. The home crowd went nuts.

"This was a good win," said Gilliland.
