The Rockville Rangers beat the Carrollton Rangers, 17-6, at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium. Rockville center fielder Danny Sanchez led the way. He was 4 for 6 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. Luis Palacios got the win, improving to 4-1. He held the Rangers to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 2. Randy Nash had a big 2-run double for the Rangers in the bottom of the second inning. With Rockville trailing 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Alex Gonzales and swatted a double to right. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 2-1.
