Riding the 4-hit performance of the 22-year old first baseman Dave Stieb Jr., the Paradise Island Pirates stopped the The Stinging Larvae, 4-1. Paradise Island reliever Antonio Puig was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Dan Stamper took the loss. Alex Franco recorded the save for Paradise Island, his 2nd of the season.

Early in the game, Stieb Jr. had a run-scoring double for Paradise Island. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Pirates on top, 2-1.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Paradise Island skipper Eric Rice.

Paradise Island, now 3-1, has played well in the early going.
