Peckford Belts 5 Hits
|
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Joe Peckford of the Manchester Mooses had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 7-3 win over the Brooklyn Cyclones at Moose Head Stadium.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 18-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
