Larvae Fall to Rider, Pirates

The Paradise Island Pirates downed the The Stinging Larvae, 4-2, at Predator Park. Pat Rider led the way, going 4-for-4 for Paradise Island. The Pirates, now 2-1, have been playing some good baseball.
Keith Russo found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing The Stinging hurler Rob Carney, the 19-year-old left fielder hit a sacrifice fly. His 1st RBI of the season put the Pirates on top, 3-2.
In postgame comments to the Paradise Island Chronicle, Rider said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
