The Brooklyn Cyclones downed the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 1-0, at The Lava Flow. Brooklyn pitcher Hector Alvarez had a scintillating performance. The Cyclones, now 4-0, have been playing some good baseball.
Arturo Paz had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Brooklyn first baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Cyclones in front, 1-0.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Tomohiro Harada. "That was the problem."
