Timbers Make Storm 14-3 Losers
The Oconto Falls Timbers soundly defeated the Wichita Storm, 14-3, at The Storm Center. Jose Mendoza, who leads the TR in doubles with 11, let his bat do the talking. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for Oconto Falls. Now 2-39, Wichita has lost 37 in a row.

Danny Patlan had a big 2-run double for the Timbers in the top of the fifth inning. With Oconto Falls leading 4-3 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from 16-year old right-handed pitcher Danny Serna and swatted a double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Timbers ahead, 6-3.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Wichita manager Daniel Carrasco.
