Manchester took on Caribbean in front of a lively crowd.
The Manchester Mooses picked up a win at Moose Head Stadium, knocking off the Caribbean Commies, 6-3. Starting pitcher Nobuaki Matsushima was a big reason why. Matsushima, now 4-4, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 11, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Picking up his 6th save was 19-year old left-handed pitcher Roberto Rodriguez.
Jose Rojas helped out the Manchester cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 1-4.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Manchester manager Rodney Beam.
Manchester has now won 4 in a row.
