Larvae Hope Opening Day Win Bodes Well for Season
Fans of the The Stinging Larvae who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a The Stinging win over the visiting Victoria Totems, 6-3. Matt Collins started for the home team against Alberto Tellez. Matt Collins earned the coveted player of the game honors. Ernesto Sanchez earned the save, his 1st.

Dave Garcia helped out the The Stinging cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the right fielder went 2-4 with a triple.

Collins called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
