Tribbles Take Down Peaches, 7-2
|
The Rosewell Tribbles used the hitting of second baseman R.J. Romero to subdue the Savannah Peaches, 7-2. For the game, Romero was 2-2 with a triple and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Franklin Tamez. His record now stands at 4-2. The right-hander went 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits for the Tribbles. Alfonso Garcia earned the save for Rosewell, his 2nd of the year.
Ignacio Hernandez aided the Rosewell cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the designated hitter went 3-4 with 3 singles.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Romero told the Rosewell Gazette.
At 27-9, the Tribbles claim second place in the TML R Fred McGriff Division.
