Tornadoes Blanked by Hepples
|
Michael Hepples of the Montreal Jazz was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Kansas City Tornadoes, 1-0.
"He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Montreal manager Johnny Vallance said later. "When Michael does that, good things happen."
The left-hander had 7 strikeouts, 1 walk and allowed 2 hits in the win.
In 31 starts this year Hepples has recorded a 12-13 record and a 3.10 ERA.
