Mooses Drop Revenge, 5-3
|
Manchester starter Alex Bustillos pitched well against the Barbados Revenge at The Drunken Wench Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3, in 10 innings. Gabe Juarez, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. Manchester raised its record to 19-17 with the win.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Gerardo Trujillo came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Barbados pitcher Alex Sandoval, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Manchester on top, 5-3.
"Our team found a way to get it done," said Trujillo.
