Toreros Suffer 4-1 Road Loss
|
The Montreal Mounties got a stellar effort from pitcher Eddie Galloza, helping Montreal score a win over the visiting Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 4-1. Galloza yielded no runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 12-8. Jim LeMay was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 35 of 39 save opportunities.
Chipping in for Montreal was second baseman Cody Jaeger. He stroked a single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Jaeger went 1 for 4.
Jaeger attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
The first-place Mounties have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
