Good production from designated hitter Miguel Ruiz helped the Jacksonville Pilots topple the Buffalo Bison, 9-4. Ruiz went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Pilots. Gebre-Selassie Afiba converted his 1st save in 1 tries. The Pilots raised their record to 79-81.

Erik Butler was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for Jacksonville. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ben Molter. It was his 29th RBI of the season.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Butler. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
