Jones Leads Butterflies to Win
|
The Pennsylvania Butterflies dealt the Seattle Sasquatch a 6-4 loss at The Kaleidoscope. Kenneth Jones was the star on offense. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Nick Leicht was the winner. Over 7.1 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. Jason Phillips wrapped it up, recording his 17th save.
Miguel Lopez had a big 2-run double for the Butterflies in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Pennsylvania leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Chris Lechelt and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 41st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Butterflies ahead, 3-0.
"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Jones.
Pennsylvania has now won 5 straight, while the Sasquatch have lost 4 in a row.
