The The Stinging Larvae beat the Wichita Storm, 9-1, at The Storm Center. Yukiyasu Fujimori was 4 for 4 with 4 singles. The 18-year old catcher was a menace to Wichita all day. Alex Quevedo, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Storm to 1 run on 5 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 5. Wichita, at 2-29, is off to a dreadful start in 2064.

In the bottom of the eighth, Dave Camacho stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Storm were trailing 9-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when David Herrera made a terrific pitch and Camacho lined out. Gone was the dream of a Wichita comeback.
