On Road, Bloomington Drops Milwaukee, 5-2

The Bloomington Blazers knocked off the Milwaukee Millers, 5-2, in Thurman Munson League action at The Mandalore Complex. Bloomington pitcher and Porcupine, Canada, native Gil Dial had an outstanding performance. Dial yielded 2 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-5. Randy Stucki picked up the save for Bloomington, his 1st of the year.
In the top of the fourth inning of a 0-0 tie, Bloomington center fielder Steve Hill reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Bloomington on top, 1-0.
"We put our best foot forward tonight," said a smiling Hill.
The Blazers now own a record of 75-83.
