The Dallas Texans topped the Houghton Gremlins, 6-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Metroplex Park. The standout performance belonged to Dallas pitcher and Gainesville, Florida, native Jonathan McMenamin. McMenamin got the win, improving to 4-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. He allowed 1 run. Chris Nugent earned the save for Dallas, his 24th of the year.

Jeff Barnes helped out the Dallas cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Barnes called the win "a collective effort."
