Bison Get Close Win Over Armada, 9-8
The Quebec Armada got a superb performance from second baseman Omar Diaz, but the Buffalo Bison still won the game, 9-8. Diaz was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The winner was Caleb Whitson in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Nick Cockrell took the loss. The Bison, at 88-69, sit in first place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Buffalo second baseman Cory Starkey, facing Jason Goodrich, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Bison the 9-8 win.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Starkey said, postgame.
