Dallas Tumbles Again, Falls, 8-4, to Houghton
Houghton registered a win at Golden Goebels Park by beating the Dallas Texans, 8-4. Pitcher Jeromir Hamrlik was one reason why the Gremlins triumphed. In 6.2 innings, Hamrlik surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Houghton, now 90-67, holds down first place in the Roberto Clemente League Mike Brouillette Division.

Adam Pappalardo had a big run-scoring triple for the Gremlins in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Houghton leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Jim Miller and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 8th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Gremlins ahead, 2-0.

"Different night, same tune, unfortunately," said losing manager Gary Stoy.
