Portland pitcher Nate Westmoreland did his part in helping his team beat the Traverse City Beach Bums, 3-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Traverse City.

Early in the game, center fielder Riley Timms had a 2-run triple for Portland. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Beavers on top, 3-2.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Timms told the Portland Daily News.
