The winning pitcher was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Oliver de Leeuw. He tossed 97 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. Jim Kirby earned the save, his 19th.

In the bottom of the third, Iwata had a 2-run home run for Cabo San Lucas. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the Toreros on top, 3-1.
