The Syracuse Orange Sox defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones, 8-4, at Syracuse Fields. Syracuse third baseman Edgar Nunez had a superb performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. The loss puts Brooklyn at 17-11.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Nunez hit a sinker from Jon Rivera for a grand slam home run. The Orange Sox, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Nunez said.
