Drooping Bison Lose 6th Straight
|
Huntington Station Ramrods starter Ben Benson pitched well against the Bighorn Bison at Ram Brewery Ballpark, leading his team to a win, 5-3. Benson, now 11-15, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. The last-place Bison have lost 6 straight games.
Dean Hrusovsky came through with a big-time hit for Huntington Station. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Bighorn manager Yoshihiro Takahashi.
