The Traverse City Beach Bums picked up a win at Metroplex Park, downing the Dallas Texans, 6-3. On the mound for Traverse City was left-hander Alberto Candelaria, who played a pivotal role in the win. Traverse City reliever Elton Turner got the win, raising his record to 2-3. Mat Weiss was tagged with the loss. The 5th-place Beach Bums have a record of 74-81.

George Patten went 1-3, while adding 2 RBI for Traverse City. The 2052 Rookie of the Year Award winner had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mat Weiss. It was his 42nd RBI of the season.
