Dallas starter Bart Watling pitched effectively against the Portland Beavers at Waterfront Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-0. Getting the save was Jared Davidson, his 3rd. The win puts the Texans at 63-92, while the Beavers drop to 69-86.
Watling dominated for Dallas, raising his record to 3-4. Portland hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 4 hits over 8 innings while striking out 7.
"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Watling told the Dallas Herald. "And padding the Dallas win column."
