Kawasaki Shines in 16-11 Prince George Win
The Prince George Cougars welcomed the Easton Caterpillars to an night game at The Back Draft.

With designated hitter Hoshihito Kawasaki leading the charge, the Prince George Cougars defeated the Easton Caterpillars, 16-11, at The Back Draft. Kawasaki, who is tied for 8th in the RR with a .518 on-base percentage, went 2 for 3 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. The win was credited to 20-year old left-handed pitcher Manuel Flores in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Jesus Castaneda took the loss. Kintaro Suzuki earned the save for Prince George, his 1st of the year.

Brandon Chamblee went 2-4 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch for Prince George. The 19-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 10-10 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Mike Diaz. It was his 20th RBI of the season.

"Good team win," Chamblee said. "I love it when a plan comes together."

With the win, Prince George climbs to 12-15.
