Behind the bravura of first baseman Connor Gaudet, the Buffalo Bison topped the Vancouver Pioneers by the score of 8-6. Gaudet was 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 3 runs for the Bison. Jamie Hansen, now 4-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 5.2 innings. The save went to Mike Waldrup, his 22nd this season.

Manuel Uribe had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fifth for Buffalo. With the bases loaded and the Bison leading 2-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"This is a very good team," said Gaudet. "We have the chance to do something special."

With the win, the Bison have a record of 43-31.
