The Buffalo Bison scored a convincing win at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium, defeating the Milwaukee Millers, 15-1. One of the hitting stars was Connor Gaudet, who is on pace for 116 RBI this season, who was 1-2 with 4 walks, while scoring 5 times. Buffalo pitcher Tommy Cedrone earned the win, hiking his record to 8-4. Matt Butler suffered the loss. With the win, the Bison have a record of 39-35.
The Millers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Bison going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the top prospect Landon Michaels came to the plate. Michaels hit a 3-run home run on a 0-2 fastball from Milwaukee hurler Matt Butler. It was Michaels's 16th home run of the year.
"What a forgettable performance," said losing manager Jim Clemons.
