Led by Bill Buntrock, the Montreal Jazz defeated the Buffalo Bison, 9-5. Buntrock went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Jazz. The second-place Jazz have won 5 straight games.

Had Tony Greene not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Greene hit a 2-run double. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Jazz.
