The Cabo San Lucas Toreros knocked off the Milwaukee Millers, 4-1, in Thurman Munson League action at Field de Los Layendas. Cabo San Lucas pitcher and Oranjestad, Aruba, native Oliver de Leeuw had an outstanding performance. The winner was de Leeuw. He threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Antonio Mercado. Jeff Lind closed it out for Cabo San Lucas, earning his 39th save.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fourth inning, but de Leeuw was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Milwaukee trailing 1-0, de Leeuw retired Sergio Gonzalez, who flied out.
