Eclipse Lose at Home, 1-0, to Milwaukee
|
The Milwaukee Millers and Chicago Eclipse put on a pitchers' duel.
The Milwaukee Millers, despite a fine performance by Chicago pitcher Vitaly Hagurov, grabbed a 1-0 win at Millennium Field. Hagurov allowed 1 run over 7.2 innings. Travis Crane nailed down the save.
Juan Luna, who finished 5th in the TML in home runs with 35 in 2053, had a direct impact on the outcome. Luna contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Milwaukee up, 1-0.
"Some games build character," said Milwaukee manager Jim Clemons. "Like this one."
Milwaukee currently is in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 72-81.
