The Asheville Moonshiners beat the Mexico City Luchadores, 7-6, with major props going to center fielder Jake Haight. On the day, Haight was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Moonshiners. Felix Garcia, who is tied for 2nd in the RCL in complete games with 2, was the winning pitcher. Haight had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 fastball from Bob Jordan, he banged a bases-clearing double to left-center, giving the Moonshiners a 4-2 lead. It was the 33rd double of the year for Haight.

"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Asheville manager Baldassario Ardinghi.

Asheville is 74-79 and Mexico City, with the loss, 79-74.
