Bruett Stars in 8-3 Loss to Buffalo
|
Spirited fans greeted the Milwaukee Millers for their clash with the Buffalo Bison.
Grant Bruett had a good game, but he could not keep the Milwaukee Millers from falling, 8-3, to the Buffalo Bison at The Mandalore Complex. The Milwaukee center fielder was 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles in the loss. The winning pitcher was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Ben Molter. He tossed 92 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. Mike Waldrup earned his 18th save in 18 chances.
Manuel Uribe was 2 for 3 with 2 singles for Buffalo. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Alex Solis. It was his 76th RBI of the season.
"Pleased with the effort and the win," said Bison manager Jon Green.
The win gives Buffalo a season record of 88-64.
