The Chicago Eclipse outlasted the Cabo San Lucas Toreros in an extra-inning thriller.

The Eclipse earned a hard-fought, 6-5 win in 10 innings at Field de Los Layendas. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Cabo San Lucas pitcher B.J. Bichler. Bichler went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Chicago reliever Oscar Zegarra picked up the win, upping his record to 6-11. James Magee was saddled with the loss.

Jim Bolger came through with a big-time hit for Chicago. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Eclipse manager Jared Hughes.

The Eclipse are now 65-87.
