Butterflies Win, 6-2, Versus Honu
|
The Pennsylvania Butterflies picked up a win at The Kaleidoscope, knocking off the Hawaii Honu, 6-2. On the mound for Pennsylvania was right-hander Juan Cervantes. He played a key role in the triumph. With the win, Pennsylvania upped its record to 88-64.
The Butterflies got a big at-bat from designated hitter Kenneth Jones. For the game, Jones went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 23rd home run of the season gave Pennsylvania a 3-1 lead.
"Juan pitched like a champ," said Pennsylvania manager Aaron Barnes.
