Peaches Pocket 2-1 Win Against Oconto Falls
|
Savannah starter Jeong Shin put the Oconto Falls offense in a vise grip. The left-hander relied heavily on his fastball in leading the Peaches to a 2-1 win. Shin yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 4-0. Paul Lemieux finished to wrap up his 4th save.
Jose Cisneros took Oconto Falls hurler David Bonilla deep in the bottom of the second. His solo home run put the Peaches on top, 2-1. In all, Cisneros had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Tough loss," said Oconto Falls manager Jian-guo Yang. "But we'll learn from it."
The Timbers fall to 9-14 and continue their lackluster start to the 2064 season.
