The El Paso Mavericks defeated the Huntington Station Ramrods, 7-6, in Roberto Clemente League action at The Corral. Nate Perlson pulled his weight. The 8-year veteran went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. El Paso reliever Eric Hooks was the winner. His record is now 5-4. The losing pitcher was Ben Benson. The misery continues for the Ramrods, who have now dropped 16 in a row.

The game came to a sudden end. In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out, Perlson reached on an error by the C, driving in 2 runs. It gave El Paso the 7-6 walk-off win.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Perlson.
