Conditions were not ideal but Quebec and Bloomington were able to put their game in the books.

The Quebec Armada knocked off the Bloomington Blazers, 4-3, in Thurman Munson League action at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Quebec pitcher and Perth-Andover, Canada, native Bruce Gaulton had an outstanding performance. Jeff Lind earned the save, his 7th.

The Armada got a big at-bat from center fielder Dan Nieman. For the game, Nieman went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Quebec a 2-0 lead.

"Bruce pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Quebec manager Ramu Pavi.

The Armada now have a mark of 68-83.
