Rodriguez Helps Hornets Beat Millers, 10-5
Eureka center fielder Benny Rodriguez contributed significantly to his team's 10-5 win over the Milwaukee Millers. Rodriguez, who is tied for 8th in the TML in total bases with 305, went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Hornets. The winner in relief was Arthur Alderdice. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 4 innings. He now owns a record of 3-0. The Hornets go to 82-69, putting them 4th in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.

Eureka left fielder Mark Bradford contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 91st hit of the season and put the Hornets ahead, 4-2.

"The credit goes to our offense," said Eureka manager Juan Montés.
