Though he had a terrific game, Mike Goodpaster could not prevent his team, the Coronado Islanders, from absorbing a loss. Victoria won the game, 7-4. Goodpaster was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs. With the loss, Coronado falls to 15-9.

The Totems got a big at-bat from catcher Yasugi Oshita. For the game, Oshita went 2-5 with 2 home runs. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Victoria a 3-2 lead.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Oshita said.
