Easton Keeps Spiraling Downward

Starting pitcher Matthew Witt did his part in helping the Brooklyn Cyclones thwart the Easton Caterpillars, 5-1. Witt, now 3-3, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Jose Acuna collected his 3rd save.
Shane Rabuse, who leads the RR in triples with 2, helped out the Brooklyn cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman drew 2 walks.
"Matthew just settled in and did what he does," said Brooklyn manager Jerry Cruz.
Easton is 2-21 after the loss.
