Alex Gonzales never let the Mooses get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Rangers to a win, 2-0. Ricky Marquez snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 3 innings. He's now 3-1 on the season. Carrollton is now 17-5.

Rafael Mercado came through with a big-time hit for Carrollton. The shortstop smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Carrollton manager Hung-chang Chao.
