The Coronado Islanders topped the Wichita Storm, 10-4, with youngster Jon Bailey playing a key role. Bailey was 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Islanders in the win. To call the performance of the 2-19 Storm woeful so far is an understatement.

Coronado used a clutch at-bat from Mike Goodpaster to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Islanders ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Afterward, Wichita manager Daniel Carrasco said: "We've got to find a way to pick up a win."
