In a low-scoring contest, Buffalo pitcher Ben Molter was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. Reliever Gary Halliwell picked up the win. His record improves to 4-4. Victor Ramirez took the loss. The loss makes Bloomington 66-82.

Devin Staples came through with a big-time hit for Buffalo. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Staples told the Buffalo News: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."
