Pedraza Dominant in Coronado Win
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Coronado Islanders and the Wichita Storm. Coronado won it, 2-1. Coronado starter Danny Pedraza was in command. Ross Lane earned the save for Coronado, his 5th. Wichita, now 2-17, continues its dreadful start.

Pedraza made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 11 strikeouts. The Coronado right-hander encountered little resistance from the Wichita hitters. His season record is now 1-1.

"Danny gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Coronado manager Ed Lenhardt.
