The outcome was not decided until the very end at Rangers Field.

The Carrollton Rangers cut down the Easton Caterpillars by the score of 10-7 in 10 innings. Much of the credit went to first baseman Manny Alarcon. Alarcon was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Rangers. Ricky Marquez, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings.

The decisive blow was delivered by Luis Vargas in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 20-year old third baseman Joel Altreche to win the game for Carrollton. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place was electric at the end," Alarcon said.

The Caterpillars, at 2-18, have stumbled out of the gate.
